Ickenham CC
SNOBs are very proud to share our clubhouse and playing facilities with Ickenham Cricket Club.
Ickenham CC has been in existence for over 150 years and is owned by the trustees of the Club. The Club plays cricket in Third Division of the Middlesex County League, the highest ameateur level in the county, and fields 4 teams on a Saturday and 2 teams on a Sunday.
The Club also provides coaching for youngsters aged 6 to 17, and runs junior sides at under 10 years, under 11 years, under 13 years, under 15 years and under 17 years which play in Middlesex league and cup competitions. Boys and girls are eligible for selection at all levels. There are two level 2 coaches and seven level 1 coaches and in the last ten years eleven of the Club's colts have represented Middlesex. Friendly matches are organised against other clubs for those colts who either do not wish to play or fail to make the standard to play in league and cup games.
The Club is actively engaged in promoting girls cricket and is a designated 'Focus' club- one of only two clubs in the Borough to support this M.C.B. initiative. The Club is also approved by Hillingdon Borough Council for its open policy and it is testament to the efforts of the committee that 25% of colts under 15 years of age are of ethnic background in an area when there is no local ethnic population.
